I love Sundays, AIBU?

Just sitting here watching the Clangers with DS2 while DS1 plays with his toy cars, DH is cooking dinner, and the flat is the tidiest its going to be all week/the school uniforms are drying...

AIBU to actually like the 'Sunday afternoon organised for the week' feeling?

(Most times when I see a thread about Sunday afternoons people don't like them because it's almost back to work/school time)

Unless I'm at work,I absolutely hate sun days full stop, even as a kid I couldn't stand them,it's just a day with a name attached to it.

I love Sundays but I don't hate my job (well pre covid I didn't). When I start hating Sundays I change jobs!

We've had lamb chops and mash for late lunch/early dinner. The washings all done, my house is tidy. I'm looking forward to an early night!

I mean, the way you’ve described it sounds lovely- YANBU to enjoy that!

I love sundays. We have a chilled out morning then get everything ready for the week ahead - everywhere is clean and tidy. It is my favourite day of the week.

StarryNight468 Yes, I think liking your job is the most important bit to not hating Sundays, both DH and I like our jobs (mine's a bit boring but it's only 3 days a week).

I like my job but I would rather not have to work tomorrow. But I've had a lovely weekend and today I was tired but not hungover, I've tidied up after house guests, hoovered and washed dishes, done 3 loads of washing, showered dressed and popped a clean bed on.

I have taken youngest DD for a bike ride in the sun/rain/sun/rain, we had Sunday lunch together at the pub outdoors (undercover) in a thunderstorm and I've watched a movie.

DH has been dying all day with a hangover and I'm quite content and all is good. Having a glass of wine.

I love Sunday's when I'm not working. .

I am always envious of people with Monday- Friday jobs I would love to feel more organised .

My working week always feels chaotic with shift work /12.5 shifts/ weekend work . My plan for after maternity is to find a Monday- Friday job or at least 4 week days .
