AIBU to think I can make my own holes in jeans!

Grrr.

Totally a first world problem. Went to try and buy new jeans today. Every single light to medium blue pair had pre-frayed and pre-ripped areas. I'm really clumsy and am perfectly capable of ripping my own jeans, but I'd really like a pair that are intact, however briefly!

AIBU?

YANBU - there should be some unripped options

YABU - get with the Zeitgeist and wear ripped jeans!

I'd add a vote for the madness of a shop selling whole jeans for £12 and then cut offs (in a rough and ready style like they'd been hacked with scissors at home) for £15. I was looking for shorts and didn't end up buying anything, as I wasn't going to chop up brand new jeans, but couldn't face spending more to get less!

@DamnYouAutoCatRectal that is insane!

I thought I could get away with ripped jeans at 42. I was wrong. Ageing knees poking through the holes is not a good look.

Haha! Had to comment and vote! My friend and I were talking about this yesterday!
No YANBU!

I'm half tempted to vote YABU just because I want some ripped jeans and I can't find any to fit me* Wink.

*I'm short so if the knees are ripped, it won't be on my knees!
