To ask WWYD? Job offer

Would you take a job doing a role that you don't really want in a place that you really like or try and find the role that you want elsewhere?

Financially, I could afford to turn down the job offer in the role I'm not keen on, there's probably very little chance of moving to the role I would prefer in the organisation that I really like.

I'm quite a sentimental person and really like the people, atmosphere etc. at this place but need fresh perspective on whether that's reason enough to accept a job.

Depends on what the role is. If a different department but similar work , or same department but work you might grow into , stay.

Thanks. The role is less money, responsibility etc. than I'm trained / experienced in. So unsure whether to 'settle' for it in a place I like working or look elsewhere for another.
