Hi there my period hadn't come this month I am about 10fdays late but I'm.now getting the really sticky discharge I get at ovulation time and pain in my ovary. I get really stressed by my cycle so so confused why I haven't bleed
Can you ovulate without bleeding wondering if the covid jag has affected things

It's very normal to have an irregular cycle. A quick google shows it is possible to ovulate but not have a period. If you are concerned talk to your GP. It's highly unlikely to be connected in anyway to the jab/CoVid vaccine.

MatildaTheCat · 03/07/2021 12:23

I’ve read about large numbers of women experiencing menstrual changes following their Covid vaccination. I would imagine it will settle fairly quickly but discuss with your GP if concerned.

Assuming you’ve ruled out pregnancy?

SmashingBlouson · 03/07/2021 12:24

It probably is just one of those cycles, so try not to worry too much. I've had odd cycles in the past too.

It sounds as if you could be starting menopause. I had several instances of all the signs of ovulation but no bleed. Then eventually I'd end up having a very heavy period a month or two later. See your doctor.

Lockeddownagain · 03/07/2021 12:47

I was checked for menopause a few mo the ago and they said I was no were near it

I didn't have a period for 3 months then fell pregnant. So yes you can definitely ovulate without a period!

Cocomarine · 03/07/2021 12:59

You say you don’t have weird cycles. Yet you were checked for menopause before you were 40? And you get stressed out by your cycles? Why?

There’s more going on here that being late this time (not unusual for many women) and you even have a potential reason known to you already, if you just had AZ jab.

Why do you get stressed out by your non weird cycles?

Cocomarine · 03/07/2021 13:01

Sticky discharge isn’t the usual consistency for most women at ovulation though. Ovulating goes hand in hand with the long stretchy “egg white” mucous. Sticky is more common when your period is due.
