Anyone else fed up with what seem like reasonably nice celebrities getting involved in obviously staged paparazzi pics?

Yes I'm talking about the Tom Holland and Zendaya kissing in the car pics. So obviously staged and how lucky a passing photographer caught them in the act.

Not as bad as the celebrities doing exercise in the beach in full make up but nearly!

Are there any decent celebrities left who haven't been polluted by the coin?

Paparazzi often hang around places where they expect celebs to be in the hope of catching them doing something newsworthy. It doesn't meant the celebrity has set it up. Remember the pictures of Kate Middleton on holiday?

How is it obvious it’s staged?! They look like they’re in traffic.

I think you may be over-invested in slebs.

The thing about paps is they are just ordinary people like everyone else.

You know, nipping out to get a paper, your morning croissant and what not and then

wham bam there's a story.

DDs are huge Marvel fans and I always do this when they’re talking about him. Doesn’t help that Beckett is one of their favourite characters in Pirates of the Caribbean so sometimes it really is Tom Hollander, but that’s when I’m usually expecting Tom Holland. 🙄

Although (having googled) I think the Tom Holland one looks genuine, Celebs on beaches frolicking in the sand with the pretence they've been found by a photographer both cringe and hilarious.

I was once in a pub in London and a minor celebrity came in for a drink. Think it was someone from Love Island or similar, couldn't tell you their name, don't watch it.
Anyway, we left shortly after and there was Paparazzi outside waiting. Must have been a slow news night. We should have timed our leaving with theirs so we got in the paper really!
So definitely they hang around places where celebs are known to hang around.

Watch Tom Holland's lip sync battle performance of Umbrella. Zendaya features briefly, and it's a great watch!

I'm more amused by the celebrities who play them at their own game. When Daniel Radcliff was in Equus apparently every night he left the stage door wearing exactly the same clothes so you couldnt tell from the photo which performance he had just finished. Meant that the photos were unusable.

I think the problem is now, everyone carries a camera with them, so it could have been a normal everyday person, who noticed them and took photos and then sold them.

Not sure if they still do it, but I know newspapers and magazines asked if you had a story to get in touch or pay £50 for a photo type thing

I've never heard of Tom Holland and Zendaya, will have to look them up to see what I've been missing.

Just googled them. Sweet, they are so young and gorgeous. I still don't know exactly what they do but no matter.

I think it’s a mix. Obviously a lot of celeb pics are set up by themselves/agents in exchange for positive press etc. But I think others just hang around celeb haunts, or get tip offs from their sources etc for cash about where the big names are - lucrative when you spot someone high profile who doesn’t court the press. Difficult to say which is which.

I’m not sure if this is the case still but at the height of the celebrity gossip blogs in the mid 00s sites like TMZ had paid sources in hospitals, rehab clinics, courts, police stations etc who would send them tip offs - that’s how they were always able to break stories first about celebrity deaths or their involvement in crime.
