To be annoyed at sellers solicitors?

I am in the process of buying a house. Everything is in place we are just waiting for probate. The man died in February the certificate was issued at the beginning of June.

Three days after issue it was discovered to be incorrect. I don't know how as that's all the estate agent has told me. Apparently the sons of the mans solicitors have admitted fault and it was to be corrected.

How long should this take? I don't want to miss the next stamp duty deadline. It has been a month already.

I think that might be a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question unfortunately

It depends what error was made and how much evidence they need to prove that the correction is definitely correct I suppose.

Yanbu to find it frustrating. I would try to hold off on being annoyed as it could have been a genuine mistake which I expect is easy to make when you are grieving.

Hope it gets sorted soon. I would be asking for updates now I think, you've been waiting a while now.

Thanks it's not the sellers fault its their solicitors. They have admitted fault. Obviously we will never find out what.
