To ask what your 6yo would want as a birthday gift?

DD has been invited to a "school party" - I am utterly clueless as to what small gift you buy a 6yo girl for her birthday.

What have your children been gifted/what was a hit?

I have previously only bought gifts for children I know, and can therefore make it more personal....I think a 5er in a card seems maybe a bit cold?

Our standard gift for that age was always Lego - huge choice in different price ranges

Ooh Lego is a good idea! Thank you :)

I like the Lego idea, or a classic game (ie Jenga) or a puzzle

Bouncebacker · 02/07/2021 08:33

Lego or Playmobil, books, art and craft supplies (pens, pencils, craft paper, notebooks etc) usually go down well

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 02/07/2021 08:48

Small Lego set, fun stationery, galt type craft kits, games.

A kite.
A bath bomb making set.
Outdoor toys - giant jenga etc

One of my dd's favourite gifts around that age was a hula hoop. Quite inexpensive (but difficult to wrap) - it was played with endlessly

Aqua bead set
Polly pocket (might be bit on expensive side cheapest I've found £10)
Craft sets
Sometimes do like the crayola smelly pens, activity book and some sweets/stickers.

Gel pens and a notebook or colouring book.

I’d spend £5 in the Works, B&M or Home Bargains type place.
