My Nana won the Pools many years ago. She said it wouldn't change her and shared it with her lodger and me.

We got £2.25 each Grin.

Is Covid making international travel to buy properties and islands a bit more difficult ?

NFLwidow · 01/07/2021 22:20

Chinese or Indian?

JedEye · 01/07/2021 22:34

Are you not concerned the papers will get hold of your story?

Will we see you on the news popping a champagne cork and holding a giant cheque?

Arbadacarba · 01/07/2021 22:36

Ah, but how much have you spent on the lottery in total? Are you in profit? Wink

Tupperwarelid · 01/07/2021 22:45

What did you have for dinner tonight to celebrate?

Zilla1 · 01/07/2021 22:49

I don't believe you won if you're just going to put it in the bank and earn interest. And I can't believe you wouldn't share it with all your family, even the members who are awful. Why wouldn't you take lots of risk (the risk profile I wouldn't really understand) to have it grow (or lose it) then share it with your whole family. This thread MUST be fake.

fruitbrewhaha · 01/07/2021 22:51

Will you open a private bank account and earn 0.01% interest?

How will you ensure your DC do not become spoiled?

HappySwordMaker · 01/07/2021 22:54

@mcmooberry

Are you going to move your children into private schools?

Hehehe I remember years ago on a TV game show a woman winning $10,000 (Australian). She was gushing and sobbing all over the place and when asked about her plans for the money shrieked “I’m going to put my daughter and niece through private school!” I’ve often wondered how they got on at private school and if she cringes at the memory!

AGirlCalledJohnny · 01/07/2021 22:54

Will you have cosmetic enhancements (buy nail polish from Superdrug)?

Patapouf · 01/07/2021 22:54

Are you going public with your win?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 01/07/2021 22:55

I can recommend an excellent Financial Advisor. Just send me the winnings (+25% for finder's fee + interest of 10% - friends and family rate extended for the next 15 minutes only!) and I'll take care of all the headaches.

Your head must be reeling, so I'm happy to be of assistance.

Thanks folks... this thread has literally made me cry with laughter... 😂

SSCCLL · 01/07/2021 23:12

Halfers?

beigebrownblue · 01/07/2021 23:26

Bloody brilliant love,
Will have to pay tax on that

Whammyyammy · 01/07/2021 23:51

We won last night too , 5 numbers, checked this morning..... £1,750. Nice surprise, but shocked its not more for 5/6 numbers.

TreadLightly3 · 01/07/2021 23:57

This discussion is brilliant and exactly why I love MN 😂

APJ1 · 02/07/2021 00:02

@iklboo

Have you made an appointment at the stud farm to pick yourself a thoroughbred racehorse yet?

Might I suggest DidYouMeanToBeSoRude or NoIsACompleteSentence as a name? AreYouOnGlue or LeaveTheBastard for its stable mate?

Excellent. MN racehorse names, that should be a thread of its own!

To OP, were you shaking and crying when you found out you'd won?

UrbanRambler · 02/07/2021 01:43

Are you going to set up a charity to benefit needy people in perpetuity? If so, perhaps you could ask Prince Harry to be a patron (apparently he's at a loose end right now).

XenoBitch · 02/07/2021 01:47

Have you perused RightMove and found your dream home yet? And also your parents dream home, and your siblings dream home, and some distant friend's dream home too.
Then the dream cars...

HandsSpaceArse · 02/07/2021 02:03

What were you doing when you found out? Was it a shock?

Zilla1 · 02/07/2021 08:11

@iklboo,

my first biscuit, the horse name, not your post.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 02/07/2021 08:13

The most I ever won was about £30 - twice. I had forgotten I had bought a ticket and bought another with the same numbers (ohhh with my ‘lucky’ numbers).

I have not let this double success change my life.

HoikingUpMyBigGirlPantss · 02/07/2021 08:17

Grin at all the Lottery adverts coming up on my phone. Gotta love those pesky marketing algorithms Grin

Enjoy your winners champagne breakfast OP!
