Social media support for Bill Cosby

Is anyone else shocked by the outpouring of support for Bill Cosby after he was released? People and even celebs on Twitter congratulating him and acting as though his release is somehow proof of his innocence.
I saw an article on Instagram which I'll link below, it's about Janet Hubert calling out people defending him and all the comments bar a few were saying she'll never work again and that she's full of self hatred, a liar etc

I actually feel a bit deflated, how can people believe one man over SIXTY women?

I’m only judging from what I’ve seen on my social media, admittedly, but I don’t think they do support him. But there’s a lot of distrust towards the American legal system right now, and this is a shining example of why.

Whether or not it should ever have been the case - and I don’t believe it should - he was offered a deal whereby he admitted drugging women and paid a settlement; and couldn’t be tried for it again. And then they tried him for it.

I don’t think many people think he’s innocent of the offences, but that sadly, with the deal that was done, he shouldn’t (and couldn’t legally) be jailed for them.

But like I said, I haven’t gone out of my way to look up general opinion… to be honest, I’m not sure I want to!

@TakeYourFinalPosition yes that makes sense and I can see why some people would feel like that but the comments I saw 100% believed he was an innocent man. I wish I'd not looked now tbh but once I started I was so shocked that I couldn't stop and fell down a rabbit hole. I had to stop when I came across people calling for R Kelly to be released next, can't believe people like that exist and can only hope they're trolls.
