The case of the missing chest hair

Posting for traffic

Dp doesn't have any hairs on his chest other than about 6... I'm pretty sure he doesn't shave it. He did used to wax it Or shave it I think when he was younger... but not now.

Does your dp have chest hair? Is it normal for a man in his late 30's not to have chest hair?

I don’t think age has a great deal to do with it. Some people are hairy and others are not.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 01/07/2021 10:14

Yeah, loads of men don’t have chest hair.

It’s more curious that he used to have it and doesn’t now, in my opinion, if he didn’t have any treatments. He could probably sell that secret to people who hate shaving/waxing/etc legs Grin

Insertfunnyname · 01/07/2021 10:16

I am female and have barely any leg hair. I’m just very blonde, don’t shave it, you can’t see it unless you’re peering up close.

Body hair is a personal thing and everyone is different. Let’s not shame hairy or non hairy people now by fixating on this topic!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 01/07/2021 10:20

My DH is 29 and have some but not ridiculous amounts of chest hair.

Like a PP, I have very fair body hair. You can hardly tell I have arm hair unless you look closely.

BiBabbles · 01/07/2021 10:21

It is normal for some men.

My spouse has very little chest or back hair, never has had much, he's just not a hairy guy. He did used to have more on his lower torso but for some reason it's mostly faded/fell out and didn't regrow as he's started to lose weight. Bodies are weird.

A hairy chest is my top favourite thing in a man, but I’ve seen plenty who don’t have any chest hair

They often seem to have that little trail of hair from their belly button down though. That’s nice too.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 01/07/2021 10:23

Mine has about 3. He's almost 50. He can't grow a proper beard either, but he's barely thinning or greying on top so

Fernie6491 · 01/07/2021 10:27

Haha, my DH has always had a hair-free chest in the fifty-plus years we have been together. Except for a single one which he called Ernest!

However now he has reached more mature years he has developed quite a few here and there and is quite proud of himself. Mind you he's developed hair in lots of other places , including his ears, which I have to pluck for him. Talk about romantic!

Yrevocsid · 01/07/2021 10:29

Oooh I love a hairy chest, a proper one, not just bits around the nipples. My DH is a massive muscular man, bald on his head but a hairy chest and the sexy line downwards from his tummy button, hairy legs too.

It is simultaneously both comforting and erotic.

Interestingly it looks like DS (15) is developing the same and he is shaving it through either embarrassment or fashion. (Love Islanders don't have hairy chests so I presume its not the done thing amongst he young.).

KB921 · 01/07/2021 10:32

Some men don't but it sounds like he did have in the past if he used to shave and wax? Maybe it just stopped growing? Dp has chest hair but not a huge deal of it. It's in between being really hairy and none at all! I used to g out with someone who had loads of it and another who had nothing. I don't really have a preference but I'd choose hair over nothing. I don't know how I'd feel if dp was spending time shaving and waxing. It must be quite time consuming!

Youdoyoutoday · 01/07/2021 10:33

My ex had barely any also couldn't grow a beard if he tried but your DP might have just weakened what hair he did have by shaving or waxing

randomkey123 · 01/07/2021 10:34

DH has suddenly grown a bathmat of chest hair since turning 50. And his back is even worse...... he has to be clipped like the dog.

No I think he had baby fluff that he used to get rid of tbh 😂 I don't think he ever had a full on hairy chest

My exh was like a gorilla, front and back.

I'm female and have a chest hair that seems to go from zero to an inch long overnight. Then vanishes. So I have a missing chest hair.

Misses point of thread and shakes head at mystery of The Missing Chest Hair

Ex p had little to no chest hair when we got together very late 20's. He developed it later mid 30's. It seemed to appear over night

Hallyup6 · 01/07/2021 11:11

My husband doesn't have any. The odd stray one around his nipples but other than that, absolutely nothing above his belly button. I have more hair than he does.

newnortherner111 · 01/07/2021 11:25

Good job you are not with Ryan Giggs then, though that's not just because of his chest hair though. Footballers get booked for taking their shirt off in celebration, which although another reason was given, was I expect because of his celebration.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 01/07/2021 11:25

A friend of mine has the most luxuriant, thick, curly, jet black hair all the way down her back. None at all on her head, though Grin

All people are different. Considering that your DP could be 5'2" or 6'8" tall, take a size 4 shoe or a size 18 shoe, have dark black or pale white skin (or anywhere in between).... I'd say that hair variants are one of the least stark differences across the spectrum of possibilities of human differences Smile

idontlikealdi · 01/07/2021 14:06

I have no underarm hair. None at all.

WeDontLikeCricket · 01/07/2021 14:41

DH has a fair bit of chest hair all over, XH had a tiny bit in the middle of his pecs. I do prefer a hairy chest as I like manly men, if they are naturally not hairy thats fine but not so keen if they wax loads. Not so keen on a really hairy back but not enough to put me off completely.

I am really dark haired but hardly have any hair on my arms other than really fine blonde hair, not much on my legs either.

It does seem wrong to comment on preference of hair on men as if it was said the other way round there would be uproar from many people. Personally I like to be mostly hair free as it feels nice to me, I actually couldn't give a shit what anyone else thinks.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 01/07/2021 16:36

I am so jealous!

I love my husband. If he had no hair on his chest, I would still love him. I would hope he loves me no matter what state my body hair is in.
