So I was talking to DH tonight about how you can ask Mumsnet the most obscure thing like 'who is this man, tall 50's' and someone will come along with the correct answer within a few comments
There was a thread I read a while ago OP wanted to know where they had visited as a child with this certain swimming pool
It had a fantastic diagram
Maybe I read it in classics? It should be in classics anyway
If anyone knows what thread I mean please can I have a link so I can show DH mumsnet impressive guessing skills

Mumsnet is awesome at providing answers to obscure questions outside mumsnet.

What the hell? Why on earth was it deleted? I was amazed that someone got it from the diagram! Wasn’t it a caravan park somewhere in Kent in the end?

On the subject of long forgotten and missed swimming pools, if anyone can find proper photos of the old Caernarfon lido I will love them forever. It had closed long before I was a child and I remember walking past it on the coast path just over the bridge from the castle, and climbing up walls to peer in through gaps in the boarded up sides, and being fascinated by this abandoned derelict pool... this would have been late 70s I suppose. Demolished completely when I was perhaps 10.

I found one very old grainy black and white photo, but it could honestly be anywhere...

@trotpot if you can find the song thread where an op literally wrote the hum of the song (ba baa bamba ba type thing) and had people actually find the song she was after, now that's amazing!
