I've been suspicious for a while...baby name threads with a daft name suggestion and an OP that never returns, first time posters that mention 'MIL' or 'stepmum' - both always cause angst and a large number of posts; similar with OW posts or the threads that are 'live' - like the recent 'gym bunny' one where the OP didn't convince.

I get where you're coming from, who knows bar MNHQ though. Some posters are quite good at spotting them whereas I'm the last to know whenwthread gets deleted
