We have a child together, there was no build up or lead up, no argument or anything I can think off. DP has just upped and left us with the reason of “ I can’t commit anymore “

I don’t know why I am even writing this I am just very confused and a bit lost.

I'm so sorry, that sounds horrible, I hope you're ok x

MartyHart · 30/06/2021 14:16

I'm sorry this has happened.
There is most likely someone else.

SpindleWhorl · 30/06/2021 14:24

Hi, OP. I'm so sorry. My ExH did this to me and our young children. It wasn't difficult to find out that had met someone at work.

Ingloriousbasterd · 30/06/2021 14:25

How awful, have you got any friends/family to keep you company ? X

3scape · 30/06/2021 14:25

That's awful.

Get answers from him asap on what he has planned for child support, access and time with his family.

You need to rework your budgets etc. What an arsehole to just drop this on you. Can you get a friend to come by or are you close to family?

Work wise can you take a bit of time off to get organised?

3scape · 30/06/2021 14:29

In the very immediate moment. Have a cup of tea or coffee and grab a notebook, start thinking of what you need to organise (such as changing the locks).

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/06/2021 14:31

That sounds awful. Do you know where he’s gone? Have you spoken to him since he left?

What’s your financial and housing situation?

Try and talk to someone in real life if you can.

Look after yourself.
