I don’t want judgement however an friend of a friend has moved into a house next to a person who sexually assaulted me a few years ago. I can’t tell them it happened to me (that’s no negotiable) however would you tell them via an anonymous letter. My worry is that they will know it was me, however the thought of someone else going through what I did makes me terrified for her. She’s a young girl with a young child

Of course you find some way to warn her

Is she not a good enough friend to talk to?

DoucheCanoe · 28/06/2021 23:12

I'd find an anonymous letter very odd and assume the writer was just out to cause trouble.

chickenyhead · 28/06/2021 23:15

Does your inbetween friend know?

aiwblam · 28/06/2021 23:15

Were you assaulted as a child or as an adult (just trying to understand whether the mum or the child is potentially at risk)?

DoucheCanoe · 28/06/2021 23:16

Did you/have you reported it to the police and was the perps name published in any local media? If so, you could print out a copy and send that.

I know you said it's non-negotiable but please don't feel ashamed or that you have to keep quiet. You don't owe that bastard your silence Flowers

This! I would just ignore this if it was sent to me. I would just think it was a viscous ex

No anon letter,I would just ignore that. You could say "Steer clear of your neighbour, I know for an absolute fact he assaulted someone very close to me and I feel the need to warn you,I don't want to go into details as it's upsetting."
