PayPal dispute

On Friday evening I was looking for some items we need, I found a website and ordered what we needed.
Only after did I look at the reviews, all bad, and when I looked further at the website it’s got a Chinese registered address but says it dispatches from uk. The reviews suggest otherwise.
Within 30 minutes I sent a cancellation email. The website t&cs say you can cancel within 24hrs.
All I keep getting from them is emails saying you can’t cancel it’s already been dispatched. I keep asking them for the dispatch/tracking details and they just keep sending the same email saying I can’t cancel as it’s been dispatched,

AIBU to raise a dispute now with PayPal based on the fact I tried to cancel within their 24hrs?
Or should I wait until it eventually arrives, it’s not as described, and then have the whole sending it back issue.

I’ve raised one dispute with PayPal before for not being as described and they found in favour of the seller as I wouldn’t post it back to China!
I swore I’d not be caught out again but they are getting so sneaky at hiding locations.

I had similar when I ordered some period pants from a website that claimed to be in the UK but wasn't, I think it also helped my case that when they arrived the declared value was £3 not the £50 that I paid!
I raised the dispute with paypal and they didn't respond in the set timeframe so I got my money back.
Definitely go for it.

You've got nothing to lose. If it's dispatched you'll eventually get it and the money. If it never arrives you get your money back.

Definitely dispute it via paypal. I was caught out by one of these a couple of years ago and I didn't know, until I eventually got to speak to someone at paypal, that you can also claim the cost of returning the crap to China.
You will probably be talking to a computer at first, but keep going until you manage to get hold of a real person, if you get nowhere with the computer.
