Have just sent them a cross email. Please let me know if any of you have had this issue.
Bought a hoover off them couple of years ago via amazon for over £300. was brill when it arrived, year later started losing suction so phoned customer services - and I really can't fault them - who sent me a brand new one.
HOWEVER, the new one they sent me is an "updated" version. On the dispatch email it says it was £169 - although obviously I didn't pay anything as I was covered by warranty. This is clearly a LOT less than I paid for my first, which is supposedly the same spec but the original version.
The new one is obviously not as good quality. Seems to be cheaper plastic and lighter, and has always just been "ok", whilst the first one was bloody amazing when I first got it.
Now, just FOUR MONTHS after receiving the new hoover, it doesn't suck up one single crumb. As soon as I turn it on it just shrieks like its blocked and doesn't pick up anything and starts burning up. It's not blocked. Ive had it all apart, cleaned the filters, etc etc nothing in there.
I've just emailed shark to say all of this and asked if they could possibly take this one back and send me a different model of the same price range as the first one. Fingers crossed because I have 2 animals children who litter my floors with crumbs daily and I think I might lose the plot soon.
Has anyone else had this issue with shark? Let me know if they sorted it or if im being unreasonable!
