To ask if you remember this tv show?

It was on the lines of Benefits Britain...you know...a sort of poverty porn show. I;m sure it wasn't that one though.

One episode featured a couple of men who were heroin addicts and one of them had his own flat.

They used to go digging in skips for things to sell and at the back of supermarkets they'd also find food past it's sell-by date and they'd take it.

It was Christmas and they searched out some 'presents' for one of the men's sons and also some sandwiches and Christmas decorations.

Then it showed them eating these turkey and cranberry sandwiches having toasted them in the flat...and decorating the little tree they'd found.

Any ideas? Anyone remember that?

I think it was PanininHead...I just wish I could remember what the title was!

Was it The Tower about the council block in Southwark/Lambeth turned into private flats and the effect on the community ? Series in the 90s or early 00s. Won a Bafta I think narrated by chewitel ojiofore. One of the main ‘characters’ was ‘lol’ (think was his name) and there was a scene just as you describe. Astonishing series which I’ve been trying to find on dvd/streaming.

The tower - a divided city - or something similar was the full name. Sorry for all uncertainties.
