Posting here for traffic. Has anyone gone from the UK to the USA on an H1B visa?

What else is needed for the Embassy appointment. Is it just the I-129 form from the employer?

TIA

Try the British expats forum that's where I went when we moved to the US

I think you currently need a National Interest Exception (NIE) if travelling for work purposes to the US because of Covid regulations restricting travel for most people coming from the UK or EU.

Info here: uk.usembassy.gov/visas/u-s-visa-and-travel-faqs/

These items plus the National Interest Exception application mentioned by pp. uk.usembassy.gov/visas/temporary-employment/required-documents/

I was an IR-1 visa (spouse of US citizen). Your embassy appointment letter will list all the documents you need. The company sponsoring you is paying a lawyer good money for this process. I am surprised they have not given you more information on the things you need for the interview.
