Did post this in Feminism too but reposted here as just so disgusted by this. 4 lone women have reported they were sexually harassed by the security guards whilst in quarantine hotels.

What punishment will these men serve?

I'm Literally speechless

Igmum · 26/06/2021 08:12

This is horrific. Lone women travellers targeted and G4S doing nothing

BeetyAxe · 26/06/2021 08:15

That’s horrific. What an awful
Position to be put in. Hardly shocking unfortunately though, seems people can do whatever they want to women these daysSadAngry.

ohfourfoxache · 26/06/2021 08:18

Wouldn’t trust G4S as far as I could throw them…..they have always been shit

MartyHart · 26/06/2021 08:18

Sadly I'm not surprised. I used to manage a very busy local government office that employed security guards. The ones we employed were great, very professional and qualified. If they were off sick or on holiday we had agency ones.
Creepy, weird, inappropriate behaviour was quite common and I often had to phone the agency, tell them that there had been inappropriate behaviour and get a replacement.
The inappropriate behaviour has included sexual comments made towards female members of staff.
The security companies basically need far higher standards.

motherrunner · 26/06/2021 08:26

The article states that G4S will investigate. What will happen? Nothing is my guess.

Them having cards to all the rooms is scary as fuck.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 26/06/2021 08:28

Why doesn’t this surprise me. Are there no female security staff that could escort the women. The security industry need to vet their staff better and act on complaints. It is depressing that there is a proportion of men who seem to think lone women are a target.

Positivelypatient · 26/06/2021 08:29

This is horrific, as women we can all understand how vulnerable and scared they must have been. I hope there is a proper investigation.

A poster in feminism remarked that there are few women in security as they too suffer.

Christ that's awful and they just ignored the complaints Hmm

BlueberryMill · 26/06/2021 08:34

Feels like it's only a matter of time before a woman gets attacked

CaveMum · 26/06/2021 08:46

@BlueberryMill

Feels like it's only a matter of time before a woman gets attacked
And even then all we’d get is “We’re so sorry this happened, we’ll do better next time.” Angry
BlueberryMill · 26/06/2021 08:51

Yes and they can't say they haven't been warned if it's on the BBC site
