My grandma has had a procedure in hospital today which required sedation. I've only just found out and live about an hour away. Other family members live much closer but for some reason nobody could take her or pick her up from the hospital so she's got a taxi both ways. I tried to offer to pick her up but she's insisted it's too far for me to come and went ahead with the taxi. Everything I've seen online says she should have someone with her after sedation for 12 hours. I'm worried about her being on her own overnight. AIBU? Should I go be with her even though she's insisting it's ok? I'd have to wait for DH to get home to look after the kids or take them with me which wouldn't be ideal.
