We will be travelling to England from NI by ferry and car on the 2nd week of July. We haven't planned a route yet but plan to do quite a few stops and travel all over. Travelling with 3 kids 8,9,13

Was hoping to go to Drayton Manor or Chessington but not so sure now as have heard they are really busy, I thought they wouldn't be very busy as schools in England don't break off until the end of the 3rd week!

Which of the 2 would be less busy or any other suggestions welcome, I looked at flamingo land and light water valley but don't seem as appealing. We have done Alton Towers and Legoland before.

That sounds like a good time to go. Most kids will still be at school except some teenagers who may have broken up after A-Levels/GCSEs etc. Can't comment on either of the theme parks you've mentioned but they will be much quieter then than end July/August. Go for it!
