To ask how would I know if I’ve got an AMR water meter?

It’s just dawned on me that I haven’t read my water meter in about 2 years (have lived here 7 years). The payment went up a few pounds in April which I presume is annual rate increase.

I know some meter can be read remotely, how would I know it mine is one of them? It’s inside in a 1940s semi. I know
I could call the water board but I’m waiting for A drs call back so don’t want to risk missing it.

If you haven’t resolved this for 2 years then it will certainly wait till you’ve heard from the doctor in a couple of hours. Ring the water billing company then.

Remote water meter is a small unit on a wall.usually near the front door to make reading easy in flats etc I'm visiting a block within the hour where I think they have them, if they do I'll take a picture

You've waited two years! Wait for the Dr to call and then figure it out!

Our water meter is under our kitchen in a storage area under the house. Whenever we run the tap you can hear it clicking. Are you sure you have a meter? Does your Bill say estimated on it or is it a set amount?

I didn’t even know our meter was being read he Just let’s himself in the side gate and reads it then leaves only found out when my neighbour told me she had closed the gate as the meter man had been

Our water meter is under a small grid in the pavement at the end of the drive. Someone comes every 6 months and reads it. We've never read it.
