12 children plus adults coming on Saturday, originally booked soft play but obviously not on anymore. We have hired a bouncy castle for the garden.

But it’s 80% chance of showers 😩😩😩☹️

What the heck do I do?!

Last minute local church hall? Ours was £50 to hire for 2 hours i think

Cancel the bouncy castle and the adults and just have the kids indoors?

Does the bouncy castle have a roof? Some do or come with a cover. Maybe a gazebo in the garden for guests to shelter from the rain?

Deadleaf29 · 23/06/2021 11:10

You can’t be more than six indoors (or two households) that’s why soft play won’t work, so she can’t just hire the village hall.

If you can postpone it with the bouncy castle company, I would. Otherwise, assuming a bouncy castle can get wet (?) I’d borrow a gazebo to cover the food, tell parents to bring an umbrella and change of clothes for the kids and let them get very wet!

WaitroseAldi · 23/06/2021 11:12

It has a cover, I was going to put the food in the dining room with the doors open 🙈🙈

Lean into it and get some water pistols and balloons?

BrieAndChilli · 23/06/2021 11:20

i wouldnt use the bouncy castle in the rain - it will be slippy and so more chance of accidents happening

That would currently be illegal for more than 6 people.
Workyticket · 23/06/2021 11:25

Replace the bouncy castle with a massive paddling pool and have a pool party / water fight? Only works if its warm rain!

Soubriquet · 23/06/2021 11:26

Wish for the best?

Ds went to a party a few weeks ago and it had been raining heavily daily for days.

On the actual day, the rain actually held off until the party finished!

GU24Mum · 23/06/2021 11:35

Hmm, hoping for the best without a Plan B could go horribly wrong!

Big gazebo?

Possible last minute reschedule?

Good luck!

scrappydappydoo · 23/06/2021 11:37

Ask around to borrow gazebos and create a big undercover space?
Can you move it to Sunday?

Get more alcohol - enjoy !
