I know IABU by posting here as well as Litter tray, but I was wondering if anyone could please help.

I just received an email confirming that my two boys ate a bag of Applaws on the recall list. They started it on April 18th, and finished early May.

They seem 100% their normal selves, but I can't find any information anywhere about how long it takes for symptoms to appear. Do you think we are in the clear by now.
I will pay for blood tests if I have to, but would obviously rather not if it's unnecessary.

I'm freaking out but trying to stay calm

You need to act quick if they are affected so I would be paying for every test under the sun just in case. My cats health is priceless.

I’ve had an email to (from Amazon where I bought it) about a bag bought in November and another in May. I can’t check the codes because I decant the food into a storage box. The information supplied hasn’t said my bags we’re definitely affected. I was disappointed to see there were no lists of symptoms to look out for or any suggestions of what to do if you think your cat has eaten contaminated food.

Are you on Facebook? There is a pancytopenia group there which is really helpful.

Thanks everyone! The boys are being checked tomorrow morning.
There is so little info out there!
My vet said that he believes it is an accumulative response and that cats who have eaten the food as their main diet continuously are the ones passing away. He wasn't concerned about one bag over a 6 month period, but we are getting them checked because we would fo anything for our little monkeys
