To think that i shouldnt have to pay to return something that was damaged!

Long story short - i bought something off Ebay - it was totally not how it was described - damaged and bent... i messaged the seller, they ignored me for 3 weeks, escalated it through Paypal and he finally responded and said if i send it back he will refund me,

So ive taken it to the Post Office today and had to send it tracked, and its huge but light - but its cost me £10 to send it back.

I dont see why i should be out of pocket to send it back when it is 100% the sellers issue?

If it was damaged it was not fit for purpose and you should be fully refunded by the seller. You should not be out of pocket. Check out the Consumer Act 2015. Contact Ebay if there's any dispute.

As you paid for it via PayPal, you can claim the return costs from them. You can have up to 14 lots of return costs a year refunded. It’s really easy to claim.

you have to activate the refund function so contact PayPal and ask them to do that for you

So PayPal have been involved because he just ignored me when I messaged through Ebay direct.
I have an open claim at the moment which i have had to enter the tracking number in to prove I have sent the item back in order to get the original £49.99 back.
