Anyone know who to contact about these vermin just throwing their rubbish out into the street, woke up to find a family of 6 takeaway wrappers discarded all up the shared drive and the last 3 takeaways still hasn’t been cleaned up.

Anyone with a brain knows that it will attract rats

Environmental Health at your local council office. In my area the refuse collectors will sometimes report issues.

Lilibet2022 · 22/06/2021 14:44

Environmental health. There should also be a number you can ring to tell them although I suggest emailing them so they don't accuse you of being the one throwing the rubbish all over so the cleansing team will come and sort it asap.

GreyhoundG1rl · 22/06/2021 14:47

so the cleansing team will come and sort it asap.
Not on private property they won't. Op says it's on their shared drive. Of course the council won't send a cleansing team Hmm

Lilibet2022 · 22/06/2021 14:52

Sorry @Daffodil123456 I misread as shared path so assumed public hence the cleaning team I mentioned. Is the next door to you private or rented?

Rhinothunder · 22/06/2021 15:05

I feel for you. Report it. Get a video doorbell / cctv for drive that will also capture them in the act?

KenAddams · 22/06/2021 15:05

Is it a private let could it be passed to a landlord

Daffodil123456 · 22/06/2021 16:33

They are SH & the SH provider are saying that it is not a issue their tenants are using the street as an extension of their bin

Contact your local councillor and invite them round to look at it, they can put pressure on the council to sort it out. Ditto your local MP.

KenAddams · 22/06/2021 17:52

Aw ffs!! What a nightmare I would contact your local msp/councillor with pictures of it and also env health that's a disgrace

Bananalanacake · 22/06/2021 17:54

Don't they know how to use a bin. I wonder what the inside of their house is like.

LeJessi · 22/06/2021 18:29

Contact the SH provider - the ones near me are very hot at taking tenants to task if they behave like this

Daffodil123456 · 22/06/2021 20:23

They are not interested, we are trying to sell the house currently and having these people next door is not helping

Wait til its dark and just brush the rubbish onto the shared property.

Daffodil123456 · 23/06/2021 07:46

They do not sleep and they have visitors all hours of the day and night.

Contact environmental health to complain and maybe say you've seen rats. The housing association will have to do something then.

Honestly who would do this?
