My Grandma in her mid 80s lives in a European country currently on the amber list. It's really uncertain whether it'll go onto the green, but I'm supposed to be going in 3 weeks' time.
I was lucky to be able to go and see her last July without any quarantine. She has dementia, and we are worried about her.
My job hasn't got back to me yet regarding the days off i asked for, and I highly doubt they'd also give me 5 days off for quarantine.
I feel like this year is looking really uncertain in terms of travel, I'm worried about getting into September/October and restrictions start coming back like last year.
I'm fortunate that i have 2 jobs, and can do the other job full time if necessary.
I haven't been in this other job long, but am thinking of leaving anyway due to the conditions.
If you were me, would you go to see her in July as planned and do the quarantine (I will have had to quit the first job to do so)
I feel like I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I didn't go, she's very unwell and frail now.
