Ok, so I ordered one set of blinds for my spare room on Boxing Day last year from an online made to measure company.
I got the confirmation email to say order was being processed and payment was taken etc. They gave me an estimated delivery date of end of feb. So far so good.
End of feb came and went and I could see from tracking my orders progress that this thing hadn't moved so naturally I called the company to find out what was going on. I was told then that the material wasn't in stock and they would update the order when it was.
We get to April and I check my order status again and it has been updated to say it will be ready end of May. I later got an email from the company saying they are having difficulty getting the material still and how do I wish to proceed. I emailed back and said yep, just go ahead when material arrives, I'll wait.
End of April comes and I again check my order status again and see they have put the dispatch date back to July!! So I call the company again and the lady says it's a stock issue with that material but when it comes in, order will progress pretty quickly blah blah. So I said okay and left it at that.
I then had an email some time in May saying unfortunately the material had been discontinued, did I want a refund or choose another material at same price point. By this point I was fed up so replied back asking for refund. A few days later the money landed back in my account.
Checked my emails today and apparently my order (cancelled) is currently out for dispatch and I have a tracking number and everything. Wtf??
The last update said the blind was out for delivery on 19th june which was updated at 2.30pm yesterday! Estimated delivery date 23/06/2021.
Should I phone them and tell them or just put this down to their error and say nothing? Bear in mind I've had my money back already.
YABU = tell them they've cocked up and arrange to have it sent back
YANBU = they've cocked up but you've got a free blind so hey ho 🤷♀️ just keep it (assuming it is going to come)
