I would love to go 😭😭 like the majority of the rest of the UK

All sold out within half an hour. I joined the queue a few seconds after it opened and didn't get anything

cultkid · 17/06/2021 15:11

There were tickets when I tried to book but I didn't have a code 😭😭

I have a code you and don’t need it, have the tickets all sold out or do you want to try with it?

Womencanlift · 17/06/2021 15:47

I think the code links to your profile so can’t be passed on.
I got tickets and luckily didn’t have much issue but I didn’t know anything about the code and just happened to come across the email (received at 12.58) as I was refreshing the Wimbledon page. The process wasn’t communicated well at all

Ginuwine · 17/06/2021 15:48

YABU but you knew that

daisyducky · 17/06/2021 16:03

I got through and couldn't unlock the tickets unless I had a code. I panicked as I hadn't come across one but luckily found it easily in my emails and didn't lose my spot. It adds the pressure with the clock ticking away in the corner.

Wimbledon are really strict on that the names on the tickets match the payment cards etc so there could be more coming for sale with refused sales etc. With the balloting process a friends tickets got rejected as her signature on payment didn't match the signature on the application (she forged her ex boyfriends - she claimed the tickets when they split 😂)

cultkid · 17/06/2021 16:06

Omg love the boyfriend story

I really really need a code, does the code connect directly to the person who ordered them.

You can't pass the code on can you then if it's in your name? Ow I feel so sad and silly

The majority of the rest of the UK? I don't think so. Perhaps a quarter of adult UK citizens would love to go, if that many even.

@Donatella - I had a seizure today so wasn't able to start trying for tickets until 14.30. I was able to get a pair (booking confirmation email was timed at 14.46).

I think they will release more tickets in a few days. If you want to go but don't specifically mind what matches you see, try for Tuesday 6th or Thursday 8th July.

Also just an FYI in case this helps anyone - you'll need to provide evidence that you've had both Covid jabs (2nd one no later than 3rd June). If the ticket holder's guest is a child, they'll need to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test.

This info wasn't made very clear before booking and might catch some people out (they'll get refunded and their tickets will be re-issued for sale).

I got through, entered my code, it searched, and said there were no tickets. This was for Centre Court, court 1, court 2, and grounds passes (queuing on different devices), for Thurs 1st July, then searched for other days and nothing still.

Same here! I got a ticket. I joined the queue bang on 1pm but my code email didn’t arrive until 1.06pm, and I only stumbled across that in my junk mail as I was waiting in the queue.
FrownedUpon · 17/06/2021 16:50

I managed to get tickets-very excited! Apparently they’re releasing more tickets tomorrow.

I thought it was that if you haven’t had both COVID jabs you could get a lateral flow?

Womencanlift · 17/06/2021 17:05

I read it as two vaccinations OR a lateral flow test for those 11 and over. Not sure what the conditions are for children under 11

Yes I read it that way too. And I’ve just gone back and re-read and still think the same. It says negative lateral flow 48 hours before for ages 11 and older.
Womencanlift · 17/06/2021 17:21

How do you get evidence of a lateral flow? I thought you just did them and the stick that looks like a pregnancy test just gave you a yes or no?

I have had two vaccinations so all good but my friend has only had one so will need a test

WellTidy · 17/06/2021 17:25

I tried to buy two tickets for the second Friday on centre court (traditionally men’s semi finals day) but two weren’t available. I got the option to buy a single ticket, so that’s what I did. So I’m going on my own! Which I am happy about. £200 for the ticket though - they get more expensive a the fortnight progresses. I really hope that I see both semis and that rain won’t interfere in the run up.

You should log all lateral flow tests on the gov website. You then get a text and email in response.

Thanks @MikeWozniaksMohawk
