stop wearing trainers with a glittery stripe on the sides and back?
I'm in my fifties but really like the look of some trainers I saw yesterday. Yet I worry I will look silly at my age wearing them?

I’m 37 and constantly berate myself for wearing jeans, slip on vans and (today a point horror T-shirt.) I dress like I’m 15 and when I’m at the school gates I always feel rubbish because I don’t look like other more adult looking parents but .... it’s whatever makes you happy!

I'm 48 and I'll wear whatever I like, as should you. I think those trainers sound fabulous.

People worry far too much about being ‘age appropriate’, women in particular. whenever I see anyone 50+ With glittery footwear/luminous clothing/striking hair, I think it’s bloody brilliant!

I used to colour the hair of a lady in her late 60’s who had it everything from shaved and bleached with leopard print to fuchsia pink. She always wore amazing coloured faux fur coats as well. She was a bit of a local celebrity and she said never got a hard time about her style choices, but she got a lot of appreciation.

If you love it, wear it. Life is too short. Be brave, be bold.

Look around you… not that previous generations of women should have had to worry, but it’s obvious now that there’s no longer an obvious shift and should/shouldn’t wear about age and clothing.
