To ask how to spend my birthday (alone)?

I’ve had the shittest year of my life (cancer scare, depression, death of a close family member), next week it’s my birthday and I want to do something nice for it to celebrate a new and hopefully better year.

I’m going for a meal with my partner in the evening, but I have the entire day free, and really want to do something nice for myself Smile but as friends/ family are at work, it has to be something I can do alone.

Any ideas please? SmileFlowers

Pamper day? Get a manicure and a blow dry?

What do you love doing? Eg would you like to spend the day hillwalking, lying on rhe sofa with some nice music and a good book, or wandering around a museum /shops?

Go for a walk in beautiful countryside, with a nice pub lunch

What I've done in the past is go for a massage. Is there somewhere nearby where you can combine it with lunch and a swim? Take a book, have a glass of wine. Sounds very chilled.

Look at group on - see what they are advertising. Spa, activity, etc

If it was me with a day to myself for my birthday I'd book a massage, do a little light shopping, treat myself to lunch out and then spend the afternoon lying on my bed reading a book.

But it's what you like doing that's important.
