I have had x4 PT sessions, completed a weekend of hiking for miles and miles in the mountains and eaten like a saint for two weeks, and the scales have not budged once!

How can this be?

Feeling deflated right now.

Check out this thread and have a read of the book that goes with it, it’s written by a bariatric surgeon and is very good. Don’t exclude fruit they are useful snacking things, but don’t have fruit juices as that’s like having enough fruit for a bear going into hibernation.

A lot of questional advice on this thread. It sounds like you are doing a lot of great things, however 2 weeks is just getting started. Keep it up and the results will come - you've made a great start, loads of exercise and a calorie deficit will absolutely get you where you want to be if you can sustain this great behaviour - check back in 2 months. Take photos and bin the scales, they are often a source of disappointment because weight fluctuates for all sorts of reasons. Focus on your health not a number. Well done for a s great start! You should be very proud.

I'm going to be blunt. If you're genuinely eating 1100 calories a day and doing all that exercise it should be melting off you. When you're doing a lot of exercise the scales won't be your friend . You need to be measuring inch loss weekly. You're eating far too few calories for your size . I'm 5ft 3 and 13 and a half stone and I'm sticking to 1500 calories at the moment BUT I could eat 1800-2000 and still lose weight as long as I hit my step goal. I've lost 20lb being in a calorie deficit, walking 15-20k steps a day and doing 3 20 minute weight sessions a week.

Last year I did SW with a PT- I said I wasn't interested in the food side as I had lost 2 stone already going from 11.4-9.4 so I just wanted to tone up. Even though the scales didn't move (maybe like a pound down) I looked completely different as I was toned and looked a lot fitter and had lost inches rather than pounds

I generally hate these threads as they are full of odd eating and ideas - fruit and carbs aren’t the enemy!

Calorie counting works well for a lot of people but eating well with lots of fresh veg and fruit plus protein is good - SW isn’t the best for sustainable healthy eating IMO

But 4 PT sessions and some walking isn’t a huge amount of exercise for two weeks - up the sessions - aim for 4 a week plus walking!

Fruits will spike insulin and high insulin is not your friend when you are trying to lose weight. Fruits are great food and not just snacks but not during weight loss phase.
