Wilmslow WAG wannabes

UppermillSarah · 13/06/2021 19:49

I visited a friend in Wilmslow today and we went out for a coffee. I know the warm weather brings out a range of clothing but eberyone we saw looked like they had their outfits spray painted on. There were many plastic fantastics around too. What's wring with liking your natural body? Am I being too judgemental of all the fakery?

Yep. HTH

ChikiTIKI · 13/06/2021 19:56

Literally, everyone you saw? I'm not saying you didn't see anyone dressed like that but really, the main demographic of Wilmslow is not this group, is it.

Elletine · 13/06/2021 19:57
Hmm
ghostyslovesheets · 13/06/2021 19:59

so you are allowed to like your body but only if you cover it in baggy clothes - blimey you have so many rules OP

maybe those women love their bodies and like tight clothes? nothing wrong with that?

also 'plastic' - how do you know? Maybe they just work out hard and have naturally slim bodies?

you sound a bit miserable

It appeared that way today. I've only been over once before and I don't remember it being like that.

Obviously didn't see me there then! I was just out and about with my friends going for a coffee.

I have no issue with tight clothes per say and I'm happy for people to display what they've got. It's the fakery that I don't like and I know plastic when I see it as I'm a beauty therapist and I do non-surgical treatments.

so what though - why does it bother you? You are making money out of fakery

0hs0s0rry · 13/06/2021 20:07

Okay if you don’t like fakery and know plastic when you see it, so what? We’re not gonna like everything we see. Or understand ‘trends’. Or understand why people dress how they do? Does it concern you? No.

Not via surgery though. Fillers is the limit of my practice and that I think is pushing it too far but it's my job so I do it.

I voted YABU. It's Wilmslow, what did you expect?

You do you, let them do them. After all, who are we to tell other women how to look?

Aqua55 · 13/06/2021 20:13

Just stick to judging their cars Op, you're allowed to do that here

accentdusoleil · 13/06/2021 20:19

Welcome to wilmslow

Go somewhere else next time. Cheadle ?

PacifyLulu · 13/06/2021 20:22

So I’m allowed to have Botox and fillers but you think that a boob job is too much?
Good to know where the line is OP, you strange, hypocritical and judgemental person.

shouldistop · 13/06/2021 20:25

If you're a beauty therapist then why are you doing fillers? I thought you had to have medical training?
Maybe I'm wrong?

AintPageantMaterial · 13/06/2021 20:27

Yes, you are being unreasonable and, since you inject fillers from a living, you are being hypocritical and rather stupid. Stop judging other women for what they choose to do with their faces and bodies.

FatThor · 13/06/2021 20:29

Women should be allowed to dress however they like without being sneered at or censored. Your post is really unpleasant.

Knutsford is very much the same, I'm afraid.
Sunfla · 13/06/2021 20:31

These days, a lot of people are altering their appearances with surgery and I imagine the sort of thing you do in your line of work... You really should stop caring what anyone else does to their body, otherwise you'll get angry each time you leave your house/watch TV.

I'm a nurse an I'm trainde to do them.

Yes we should be able to dress how we please but we will be judged on it. People choose to wear certain clothes so that they get admired but there will also be negative judgements too and that is ok in my mind.

Should everyone remain neutral then? Surely the whole point of dressing a certain way is to impress people? But it may also draw negative judgements too. You can;t have one without the other x
