Only another two months of this to go...

Yes

Can hear the children from the house at the bottom of my (large) garden screaming even with the windows shut.

This morning the peace was shattered by multiple chain saws, angle grinders and other building noises. This afternoon it was the football watchers at the cricket club which is the other side of the bloody village.

Yep. Music since 8am this morning and the smell of weed wafting over the fences too.

AllesAusLiebe · 13/06/2021 19:16

Don't have the same issues in terms of the weed, but we've had a grinder/saw at 8.30 this morning, almost all of our neighbours have jet washed at some point today and we've now got kids screaming.

If the latter continues when I'm ready to put DS to bed in 15 minutes, I won't be responsible for my actions.

Lilibet2022 · 13/06/2021 19:25

Careful though OP. You may get told off for being a killjoy in a minute Wink

Lampzade · 13/06/2021 19:30

Neighbours two doors away moved in last week. They have peen partying since yesterday afternoon .
Couldn’t sleep last night because it was so noisy.

Power tools at 8am on a Sunday and big sit on mower down the back of our houses during the tennis finalAngry

TheWitchOfShields · 13/06/2021 19:57

Yep! We're sick of getting high for free, my laundry stinks, my home stinks of it and my son is ill every day with bad heads and feeling nauseous.

As for the kids, it's the mother of some of them who continually shrieks at them up the street from 8am on a Sunday morning that drives us mad 😬🥺

Spyro1234 · 13/06/2021 20:28

You miserable bunch! Are humans meant to live in silence? If you have neighbours surely you must expect some noise?

Their kids don’t need to be screaming all day, I don’t need to know they’ve shut their door 24 times day & I certainly don’t need to hear their poor choice in music.

Yes. Sorry I should have expected a full on thumping of music and base from 8am to 8pm today especially as it's been such a long while since the sex pond twat kept the neighbourhood awake until 2am just a few days ago. We're all completely miserable. Confused

Ah weed, screaming kids and loud music. A perfect council estate summers day. What’s not to love? Grin

RaspberryCoulis · 13/06/2021 20:51

Where do you all live that this is the norm??

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 13/06/2021 20:55

I’m sitting here cooking in my room because of the skunkers next door.

Plus they have a frequent guest who thinks she is fucking hilarious judging by her skirling laugh at everything she says.

They light their bbq with petrol.

I have been guilty of thinking uncharitable thoughts in that regard.

TrickorTreacle · 13/06/2021 20:59

I'm not bothered about weed and loud music, as I can just close all of my windows and put the a/c on, but I do hate summer with a passion. Mid-September onwards is my time.

MsTSwift · 13/06/2021 21:01

We moved to a posh area. Tinkly laugh the odd clink of a wineglass and soft cultured conversations about their plants. Bliss. Our previous neighbours when we lived in London were like an episode of shameless. We were quite left wing til we lived next door to them.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 13/06/2021 21:04

I live in London (not a posh bit!) ans we don’t get this at all! The odd car door slamming late at night.

SisterBeaverhausen · 13/06/2021 21:08

We had to have all our windows shut last night as the nightmares next door decided to have a bonfire in their front garden at 11pm.

Was not impressed.

AngeloMysterioso · 13/06/2021 21:12

No, but we did have to put up with that shit for the best part of 7 years. We were in a new build flat that could reach 40° in summer but we could never open our windows because the weed smoke from our downstairs neighbours would come in. The children from all the flat blocks would play out the back and scream their fucking heads off til well past 10pm.

We moved. Ground floor flat, non-smoking neighbours with non-screaming children. All I can hear right now is birdsong. It’s heaven.

Rosebel · 13/06/2021 21:17

The house 3 doors down has had (rubbish) music playing since 9 this morning and still going on. Couldn't even go out because my son is self isolating.
For at least 3 years next door have been renovating their garden so tools start at 8 Saturday and Sunday. Normally they are lovely but I silently cheered when they went away this weekend.

Rubymay93 · 13/06/2021 21:24

cappuccinoandcats · 13/06/2021 21:26

A few doors down from us. 4 kids. Constantly playing in front of our house and screaming. They never play in front of their own house !

Fountainsoftea · 13/06/2021 21:37

Bloke behind us some kind of angle grinder or whatever. Dd,9, would like to go to sleep at some point. I may have half jokinglysuggested she shout out of her window.
We got this" hello, can you stop now? I'm only 9 and I've got school tomorrow. "
