Bought a new build which backs onto end of a street, should I worry about crime with easy access to back garden

Weve bought a new build home and our back garden wall entirely backs onto the end of another road. Is there any reason to worry or consider about increased crime with direct access to our garden?

I would get some of those spikes for the top of the wall just to be on the safe side, and make sure your back gate is secure.

depends on your area.

My garden backs onto a woodland/field, so do my neighbours obviously. A couple of cars have been stolen, from the front, and the victim of burglary locally live on a busy-ish road with neighbours behind them.

Could you extend the wall upwards with some spiky ornamental wrought iron?

Ours isn't a new build but backs onto a street. We've added trellis and grown pyracantha across the back fence and gate. I requested that the image of the rear access is obscured by Google streetview which was done quickly. If someone really wants to get into a garden, they will do.
