Has anyone found anything that helps alleviate periods of quite heavy brain fog? Does yoga help? I’m struggling with it a lot this week.

I’ve just done an energising yoga with kassandra YouTube video -I do suffer from brain frog a lot and it does refresh the mind.

HRT worked for me. I did try acupuncture which was good but prohibitively expensive to do long term but was helpful until the HRT kicked in.

Try yin yoga. It's very slow with mainly floor based positions held for several minutes at a time. My favourite teacher says every pose is a mini meditation. I find it very helpful for clearing my mind.

OP, if you have Netflix, Headspace have a whole series on there on guided meditation that I've found useful.
I've also found just going for a wall around the block in the fresh air helps, another of my friends goes running and we all notice the difference the days she hasn't.

8 hours sleep
Low carb / no sugar diet

High dose Vitamin D, Magnesium, COD LIVER OIL (very important!), fresh air and daily exercise / movement help my brain fog. Not totally but it has improved so much since upping the above.

And I think I’m right describing it as brain fog - hard to concentrate, a bit spaced out sort of thing that comes and goes!?

Depending on your age HRT can help.

Cutting down or cutting out alcohol (if you're happy to - I wouldn't want to cut out wine completely for example but cutting right back has really helped)
Ditto sugar
Regular short daily exercise (I try to swim for 15 minutes each morning and that really helps me).
Get enough sleep - trying going to bed half an hour earlier than you're used to.
