YANBU. Mon - Friday no problem but 9am is the absolute earliest on Saturdays.

SleepyPartyTime · 12/06/2021 08:28

YANBU let people have a lie in!

LadyCatStark · 12/06/2021 08:29

YANBU

BobGalaxy · 12/06/2021 08:29

YANBU. I've had downstairs neighbours hammering the wall at 7.50. Absolute joke!

Meruem · 12/06/2021 08:31

Some broadband company have been digging up the road outside my house all week long with very noisy machinery. I’m meant to be wfh and got very little done thinking I’ll catch up at the weekend.

A van load of noisy workers parked up outside my house from 7:30 am this morning. All standing outside shouting and laughing. From 8:15 the pneumatic drill has started again. Beyond pissed off.

No.

YANBU

Dobbyisahouseelf · 12/06/2021 08:58

YANBU. I'm looking at the builders opposite who having been shouting all kinds of shit since 8am, really unnecessary. Monday to Friday is fine as everyone is normally up and about for work and school although they do start at 7:15am.

I was pissed off with my neighbour and texted them as they had their builders in before 8am on Good Friday and I happily pointed out it wasn't allowed. I 'helpfully' linked in the page to our local council which said no building on a Sunday or BH. People are inconsiderate at times.

Dobbyisahouseelf · 12/06/2021 08:59

Now the crap singing has started!

YummyButter · 12/06/2021 09:01

I actually have the joiner round at the minute drilling holes in the wall in preparation for our bathroom being installed on Monday. He's been here since 7.30am. Not a lot I can do tbh, but I do feel so sorry for my poor neighbours.

I'll get them a card and some chocolates to say thank you for putting up with it.

Stillfunny · 12/06/2021 09:01

So inconsiderate. I was up earlier and am anxious to cut the lawn. But I would not dream of it until at least 9:30.

ShonkyWonkyDonkey · 12/06/2021 09:03

From 8am I don't see the problem!

LemonLymanDotCom · 12/06/2021 09:05

Wouldn’t bother me. Then again I live on a main road where all roadworks & repairs (pneumatic drills, retarmac-ing, filling in potholes etc) are done at 2am so as not to interfere with daytime road users.

That said if I lived somewhere where I usually had peace & quiet at 8am, I’d probably be a little narked by a power tool dawn chorus.

Notjustanymum · 12/06/2021 09:09

My local council rules about works noise is that it’s allowed 8:00 - 13:00 Saturday and not at all on Sunday. Check your LA website to see if YABU based on this...

LakieLady · 12/06/2021 09:10

Some noisy fucker has been using an angle grinder here since about 8.30.

I may have to pop along the road and angle grind his legs.

newnortherner111 · 12/06/2021 09:10

I expect you may get more morning noise over the next four or five weeks from those wishing to complete any DIY before football matches start at 2.

Moonshine11 · 12/06/2021 09:13

Allowed 8-2 on a sat in my area.
Check your LA website

romany4 · 12/06/2021 09:31

Could be worse My neighbour and her kids jumped in their inflatable garden pool bang on 8am this morning.
Cue screaming, splashing and roaring. And it's right under my window. 2nd weekend in a row..
Fuckers
