Dafaq? Surely I can’t be the only one wondering what Boris Johnson is on about now?

“ No10 said Mr Johnson's 'feminine' recovery comment was reference to a £430m fund for children's education”

WTF ?!

SoupDragon · 11/06/2021 18:06

How can you be both feminine and gender neutral?

Theluggage15 · 11/06/2021 18:31

I think he’s just saying random words as usual. Not much thought behind anything he says.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 11/06/2021 18:34

It doesn’t mean anything, it’s just piffle waffle.

Nonmaquillee · 11/06/2021 18:35

Vacuous word salad

waltzingparrot · 11/06/2021 18:42

'Feminine recovery' - surely that's a Boris couplet for 'Closing the gender pay gap'. There, he said it on worldwide tv.

InnaBun · 11/06/2021 18:43

I've tried but I really can't understand what he is on about

DeathByWalkies · 11/06/2021 18:44

So, essentially, not bloke-focussed.

PumpkinWitch · 11/06/2021 18:46

It is just a load of piffle. I have come to the conclusion that Boris doesn’t know what he means half the time he just opens his mouth and words come out.

FourTeaFallOut · 11/06/2021 18:47

Feminine recovery? Grin Grin

ComDummings · 11/06/2021 18:47

He makes no sense like 95% of the time, I don’t think he even knew what this word salad meant

megletthesecond · 11/06/2021 18:49

I thought he was waffling out bollocks too.

mbosnz · 11/06/2021 18:52

I think he's invoking Jacinda. I fear that she will not be riding to his rescue. I'm sure he'll blame her for that.

BitchyHen · 11/06/2021 18:53

So does a more feminine recovery mean getting up and getting on with it as opposed to a masculine recovery which involves lying on the sofa in a dressing gown feeling sorry for yourself?

Tubbs99 · 11/06/2021 18:54

He just opens his mouth and gibberish comes out. At least we weren’t subjected to “levelling up” this time round.

Maybe we should be having a coy, silent, recovery, batting our lovely eyelashes without asking any difficult manly questions about the pandemic?

Ugh yes Boris would love that.
DifficultBloodyWoman · 11/06/2021 19:05

It is piffle.

Possibly an inverted pyramid of piffle.

Eskarina1 · 11/06/2021 19:07

I assumed it meant "I've just got married, now's the time to find someone feminine to help me recover"

But apparently it means Downing Street officially linking giving a shit about children's education to being not male.

No idea. Don’t think he actually knows what he’s saying most of the time

I think this must be it. Plus, of course, a recovery where we all accept lower pay and less investment in our health needs. I assume he and his mates will get to remain fucking useless manly and masculine though.
