I'm going through a bit of a rubbish time at the moment which I haven't shared with anyone.
I was diagnosed with cancer last year received treatment and everything looked good. I got told a few weeks ago that there are some concerns in some of my lymph nodes and I have been referred to a specialist in another hospital.
I haven't told anyone, not sure why 😔

What types of things make you smile or brighten your day?

Today I was brave and went and joined a “letsride” cycle ride and went with a ride with 15 people I didn’t know and explored a new place and a nice easy pace.

I keep thinking I might not need to tell people because maybe its nothing serious and I'm just getting ahead of myself. No partner, one DS.

Hello! I can understand not telling your DS until there's a need too, anyone else you can confide in? Any particular worries (apart from he obvious!) you want to offload here?

You can tell people irl because you need support, you dont have to wait in case it's not serious. Or talk on here, there's always someone about. Or there are help lines that you can ring, who are surprisingly helpful even if you dont know for sure there's a problem. Waiting to hear can be a very lonely place indeed so dont hesitate to shout out for a hand hold if you need one.

@user439402 I'm the type that wouldn't tell people either, I find it easier to manage my own anxiety rather than having to deal with everyone elses well meaning comments. I do hope it's good news for you.

Thats exactly how I feel in limbo, I felt my life was slowly starting to return some sort of normality, recently gone back to work and seeing people again. Now I feel scared about the future again 😢
