lots of people are wearing their masks on the trains, tubes and buses. Kind of feels like we are all trying to do our bit for society in general. Particularly when those who don’t have to wear masks, i.e. children, are wearing them 😷

Can’t wait to see the end of them personally

HowToBringABlushToTheSnow · 11/06/2021 13:36

I’m not saying I love wearing them! On the contrary, I hate wearing one and have asthma so struggle sometimes but the point is that I’m wearing one… to do ‘my bit’ for society. It’s good to see others doing their bit too.

I wish everyone did as many are doing. Be it a mask, a snood, a bandana, a scarf, or a face shield.

Newestname001 · 11/06/2021 14:25

I'm very pleased people are wearing them on public transport- especially on the underground as people are generally not socially distancing (at least not the line I've travelled on recently). I'm intrigued, however, how many people I see wearing their masks under their noses... 🌹

OrangeRug · 11/06/2021 14:28

Makes me angry when I see young kids wearing them. Especially kids in pushchairs.

You're obviously not taking the same bus I am. Only about 40% at most wearing them now. Everyone is exempt

Um, okay . . .

Biancadelrioisback · 11/06/2021 15:03

It is great that people are doing their bit, but I don't agree that it's a good thing at all that children are wearing them!

MolyHolyGuacamole · 11/06/2021 15:21

Well, it has been over a year since they became a requirement...have you only just noticed?

tootiredtospeak · 11/06/2021 15:23

I hate to see kids wearing them my DD 4 was playing ice creams today and she said for me to wait to serve her while she went and got her mask 😥 she doesn't have one but played pretend with some cloth. On public transport I get it's important and do think it is good but the people that wear them outside....in this heat dear god!!

Wishing14 · 11/06/2021 15:38

I definitely don’t like to see children wearing them!

I love seeing children wearing them! They are the worst offenders for not social distancing. Gives me a tiny hope of them not passing Covid onto me which could kill me (chronically asthmatic)

Not been in any shops, schools, leisure centres, drs, petrol staitons over the last year OP? Why the bus particularly?

Can't wait to see the back of the masks personally.

Stay inside then Grin wouldn't need to do that if adults could be trusted not to lean over pushchairs maskless so blame them every time you see it.

OP YANBU.

Why? They can still catch it and pass it on. DS2 is 9 and when he goes to the doctor's or CAMHS he really doesn't enjoy having to wear one, but it depends on the child.

I wear mine outside because my adult son's shielding and he hasn't left his house or had visitors since March 2020. He's allowed to have visitors now, with masks, I'm not jeopardising that.
Sunny4876 · 11/06/2021 16:05

I wish my dd 15 didn't have to wear one,it's made her acne so much worse and didn't stop her catching covid at school.
