To think I shouldn't buy this car?

I am looking for a secondhand car and can spend up to about £7k. I have set my heart on a particular model that isn't all that popular so there aren't that many around. I need low mileage as I have quite a commute and family all over.

I have found one within budget. It's 2015 with 24000 miles. However, when I Googled I found the timing belt on the model needs changing every 90 000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes soonest. I have seen the service log and it was up to date until March 2019, which was a red flag in itself but I now assume the belt hasn't been changed either so that means it's overdue. Not sure what to do...there's a 30 day guarantee but it obviously won't cover that as a routine replacement.

Do I have to pull out and keep searching? Sad

Personally, with the budget being pretty good, I would hold out for a full service history. Good luck, OP!

I’d just get a quote for having the timing belt done and ask the garage if they’d have a quick look over it personally, if it’s a good value for money car.
