Why is Foreign office advice different to green lists? I'm so cross I can't cancel my holiday

Firstly this is a holiday booked late 2019 and already rebooked once. Since January I've been pretty convinced it wouldn't go ahead and i personally don't think going abroad for holidays is the right thing to do at the moment so I'm actually relieved it's amber as this rules it out for us
I was hoping tui would end up cancelling our July holiday to zante but looking at their website they are still running holidays to certain Greek Islands which the foreign office have said are allowed - these are on the amber list and very unlikely to change. This was the foreign office amendments a few weeks ago which got everyone excited that it was a clue for the green list countries / I just don't get why the foreign office made this exception as it means we will have to move this bloody albatross of a holiday yet again and I can honestly see us going through all this again next year
Other Greek holidays have been cancelled till late June as are the Balearics - I just want to cut my losses and not be tied into this holiday
