This can be about their personality, lifestyle, views and values, what kind of life they lead, how they treat others etc.

OP posts:
shivawn · 08/06/2021 22:21

Happy, outgoing, social people with lots of interests and passions.

MagnificentBottom · 08/06/2021 22:21

People who are so confident they don’t give a shit about what anyone else thinks

Foghead · 08/06/2021 22:22

I really admire people who just do stuff. Go out, travel, read books, play with kids, volunteer. It could be anything but they’re just doing what they enjoy.

Pipefish · 08/06/2021 22:22

Calm, steady, consistent people

Hotcuppatea · 08/06/2021 22:24

Well I had my 2nd vaccination today. My local centre is a church hall and when I went for my jab it was busy with 1st dose peeps getting one type of vaccine and people like me getting another. It was efficiently run, with no fuss, by a band of late middle aged women volunteers.

As I was sitting waiting, I was thinking about how much I admire women like that. Backbones of the community who probably contribute or run all kinds of community projects. Go them.

Undersnatch · 08/06/2021 22:24

People who keep their head. Don’t get whipped up by other peoples strong emotions and bring calm to any situation.

Checkingout811 · 08/06/2021 22:25

People who spend their time doing things they enjoy and which make them happy whilst not caring what others think.

Echobelly · 08/06/2021 22:25

Like @Foghead , people who don't just talk about stuff, they do it - I'm rubbish at that! eg people who start businesses, charities, write books

People who seem to be able to walk into interesting jobs in all sorts of areas - I don't know how they do it!

People who are positive - they don't feel the need to 'seem clever' by being down on everything (because that's not clever!), and they unselfconsciously enthuse about things and don't let people be left out.

Doggyperson · 08/06/2021 22:26

Hard working kind people who aren't full of bullshit and don't brag about how wonderful they are or how hard they work.

I admire people who do good for others but don't go round telling everyone.

I admire people with endless patience who are mostly calm even when faced with horrible people or situations. That's certainly not me!

Bloodyfuckit · 08/06/2021 22:27

People who are the total opposite of Boris Johnson. People who are honest, have integrity, are principled, have strong ethics, think things through and are rational, logical and get by on competence.

ICanSmellSummerComing · 08/06/2021 22:28

Gosh so many people and Yy to the steady unflappable types.
I've come to realise we need so many different types even if we don't like them to make our world function.
Personally my admiration is currently for two people who had no parental support or backing and became successful through honing a craft and putting themselves out there.

They work really hard but in creative things and even though quite old now are always moving with projects.

Meaty226 · 08/06/2021 22:28

I like Molly Mae Hague

pinksquash13 · 08/06/2021 22:29

People who decorate and do DIY quickly and well.

Powerful women in work. Women who achieve in work despite lack of role models.

People who are style confident.

Popcornbetty · 08/06/2021 22:30

Honest, straight talking and unafraid to stand out and be different from the crowd. People who haven't had the easiest of lives but have made it out the other side with a smile and a positive attitude.

Mangofandangoo · 08/06/2021 22:30

People who are always the same. My mum to be specific, you always know what you are going to get. She's like a consistent calm presence.

CatNamedEaster · 08/06/2021 22:31

Single parents.
People who are calm.
People who are brave enough to stick their head up and take a stand against injustice, even when there are huge personal risks to them.
My mum because she is brilliant at cooking and gardening but NEVER follows any rules, instructions or recipes. Smile

lazylinguist · 08/06/2021 22:33

Organised, capable, unflappable people with good taste in decor and a well-groomed appearance!

Hawkins001 · 08/06/2021 22:37

There's probably more , but theses are the main one's.

RedRec · 08/06/2021 22:37

People with fortitude. A friend in her eighties often used to talk about what a great quality it is. And that opinion rubbed off on me.

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 08/06/2021 22:48

People who travel a lot, people who don’t allow people pleasing to get in the way of them achieving what they want. People who are creative and effortlessly fascinating.

GreenWasabi · 09/06/2021 05:49

People who are kind

MrTumblesSpottyHag · 09/06/2021 06:12

I have a friend who is the kindest person I know. She's an amazing listener and people just gravitate towards her.

MrsBongiovi · 09/06/2021 06:13

People who are confident without being arrogant. People who see through and don’t get involved in the bullshit of life and see what’s really important. People who both listen and contribute. And animal lovers.

Oenanthe · 09/06/2021 06:20

Cheerful, irreverent types.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 09/06/2021 07:36

Scientists who work on cures and vaccines.
Hospital staff and vets who care for us and our animals.
People who work hard and have a work ethic so would take any job for long hours to support themselves.
People who do charity work quietly rather than for the FB pics or their CV.
