He has wide feet so had been recommended these but size guides seem to say different things on different sites.
Do they come up big?
He's in a 4 and a half Clarks shoe at the moment...

I found the actual crocs were too narrow for my sons wide feet. He loves crocs but I tend to get him the cheaper (home bargains cheap!) ones for him as they seem to be cut wider.

Olivess · 08/06/2021 20:25

My toddler is size 5 in clarks and has a size 6 in crocs and there isn’t loads of room in them.

Sinistericecreamvan · 08/06/2021 20:30

Thank you, so I may need to size up. I've realised they don't do half sizes as far as I can see. I'm wondering if a non brand pair might be better

I would stick with Clarks shoes when there feet are that little x

Sinistericecreamvan · 08/06/2021 21:06

I would, but he's got very wide feet and they don't have sandals or summer shoes in his size in Clarks. His little feet keep getting really hot so I was hoping to find something a bit more breathable

I’d go for the 5. Both of my wide footed children have got on well with crocs for the garden. If he is too wide for clarks sandals though he does sound v wide. You’d probably be better with Velcro strap sandals rather than anything you can’t adjust.

Dustyhedge · 08/06/2021 21:21

Something like this?

zebrapig · 08/06/2021 21:30

I tend to size up in Crocs. For your DS I'd probably buy a 5. If you want to try some on him size wise Next sell them online so you could order the 5 & 6 and return whichever you don't need.

Sinistericecreamvan · 08/06/2021 21:52

He’s a h fitting in Clarks @Dustyhedge and none of the sandals seem to go up to h for some reason! I’ve been told crocs are wide so that’s why I was going for them but now I’m not sure! None of our local shops stocked the sizes to try

Sinistericecreamvan · 08/06/2021 21:53

Thanks @zebrapig good idea

My DD has tiny little narrow feet age 3.5 and crocs still come up small. I’m not sure how wide they actually are.

Have you looked at Vivio Barefoot shoes? They have some good breathable styles and are naturally wide fitting.

teaandbiscuitsforme · 08/06/2021 22:14

These are expensive but so worth the money. They're so hardy and you can Chuck them in the washing machine. They're great for wider feet. I get these for my DC every year!

Try hush puppies. They worked for my h width daughter

gingerbiscuits · 09/06/2021 07:06

My son loved crocs when he was a toddler - he also has quite wide feet & we found them fine. He had a mixture of 'real' crocs & ones from Next - all great. Think we went up a size most of the time.

MerryDecembermas · 09/06/2021 07:18

There are kids knock off crocs in Primark at the moment. They usually have them in Tesco too. Stick some on his feet and see which are right.

Clarks are rubbish for wide feet!

Sinistericecreamvan · 09/06/2021 07:29

@dreamer2468 thank you - he’s an infant 4.5 are they kids or is that the same thing?

OP posts:
Dreamer2468 · 09/06/2021 08:59

Yes they are infant shoes. My LO is 19 months old.

Sinistericecreamvan · 09/06/2021 12:56

Thank you! I’ll give them a try and see if they are wide enough

Following with interest. Can't cram my tots fat feet into even Vivo barefoot. He either wears sandals or wellies as his feet are too wide for all big brands. Or the ones sock ons make which are fab but he's in the biggest size now.

Sinistericecreamvan · 09/06/2021 13:27

@DulseSeaweed the curse of the chub foot! Which sandals do you get for him?

OP posts:
DulseSeaweed · 09/06/2021 13:34

Just cheap supermarket sinister...anything with an adjustable strap at the back. Baby bogs great for wellies as great quality but stretchy.

DulseSeaweed · 09/06/2021 13:43

And step ons from Sock Ons

User574664 · 09/06/2021 20:36

@MerryDecembermas

Do you think so? They do all different width sizes though? I found opposite my sons a G & I’ve tried a pair of supermarket croc type things on an he couldn’t walk properly in them. From what I’ve read online it’s really important to have proper fitted shoes when there little or they’ll get foot problems. What about start rite ?

User574664 · 09/06/2021 20:41

Your right about the sandals going upto only G! How ridiculous
