To find this an annoying way to do GP appointments

Booked a follow up after blood tests three weeks ago. Was told the doctor would call between 2-6. Aibu to think if you have to wait weeks for an appointment it could be smaller time frame.

My gp surgery tells you that the gp will ring you at any time. I'd prefer a smaller time frame than that

My doctors don't even give that. It's just any point during the day. Could be 9am, could be 6pm. So annoying!

Mine give an initial 5 hour slot then text something more specific on the day

Not as bad as trying to send pics for an injury via their text link... Especially as trying to take pics of a wrist using a phone and one hand(not your dominant one!) isn't easy!

I’m not being ungrateful I just think if you were going into a face to face appointment. You would have a time. They also only ring once and then it’s classed as missing the appointment so say you’re on the toilet or need to do something else quickly.

Mine give you an actual time and if they’re running significantly late a receptionist calls to let you know.
