To ask you who I contact?

I have been suffering from pins and needles in my feet and chin for over a year. I have finally just had a referral go through for neurology.

For the past few days my left arm feels like it’s burning all the way down. At the same time my left leg feels weak, I have tingling in my toes and they’re completely numb at times.

Obviously this is not normal.

I don’t know if it’s sciatica and a trapped nerve BM in my shoulder or linked to the pins and needles I’ve had forever.

Do I go to the doctors tomorrow? Or just wait and see what happens? I don’t have an appointment for neurology yet, there is at least a 28 week wait. What would the GP do other than refer me to neurology again?!

And yes, I’m very worried. Brain tumour? MS? That’s what’s going through my mind.

YABU - don’t waste the doctor’s time, there’s nothing they can do
YANBU - ffs, see the GP.

I'd contact the GP, I'm no expert but that sounds like things have got worse? Maybe he can upgrade the referral to urgent because of your recent changes? (If that's possible)

YANBU - the symptoms sound like they're escalating. Personally I would be phoning NHS24 tonight for advice.
If you don't want to do that - definitely phone your GP tomorrow and ask for an urgent appointment. They may be able to chase up the referral
