What did you do for your 30th?

Mine is soon and I don't know what to do! There is still some availability for air b &b but help me! Do I wait to see if the covid restrictions are totally released?

I would if I were you. Mine was last year and everything we planned got cancelled.

I originally wanted to go away somewhere but then Covid put a stop to all that so I ended up giving birth on my 30th 😂 it wasn't the overnight stay I had planned but I came away with a lovely souvenir!

I would wait and see if restrictions lift and then you're open to having more choice than you do now. Being able to plan with more options is something to look forward to and if your 30th happens before you get anything booked then it just means you get to celebrate it twice Smile

Went to London for the weekend with DH and the kids to watch a show in the west end. One of my favourite things to do.

It’s my 40th this year. Because of the restrictions and the uncertainty I’m going to put off celebrating it properly until next year. I’ll go for lunch with my family on the day but that’s it.

I celebrated my 30th in Vegas. Great holiday!

I had a week in Brixham with DH. It was awful. The apartment was at the top of a hill, a seagull shit on me and the pubs closed at 8pm on my birthday.

We went to Disney world which might not be an option unfortunately! I'd book something because there is so little availability but make sure you can cancel if needs be without losing too.much money

A weekend in Dublin with my two best mates. I sulked the entire time about being 30, fat, single and childless. I only perked up on the last day when they were both hungover to fuck and I had got over myself 😂

They were all dreading me turning 40, but I'm 40, fat, married and childless and no longer give a fuck 😂

Went to New York, but obviously you won’t be able to do that.

I’d book something, even if restrictions remain as they are, you can still go to places, eat out, go to a pub.

Last year nothing was open on my birthday, so We’re definitely going out out.

Was heavily pregnant and in the middle of covid so cried feeling sorry for myself, not being able to see anyone really, eating the birthday cake my dad had baked for me all to myself, watching a Disney film and barked at my partner for EVEN looking at it ha ha 😂😂 my 31st has just been and having my dd here for it and being able to see people again, I just pretended it was my 30th all over again and just being able to see the people closest to me was the best birthday I’ve had to date…..and I shared the cake this time ha ha! 🤣

It was a Tuesday so we did the pub quiz that we did every Tuesday back then. I love a pub quiz.

Birthday was Sunday, we had a small house party on the Friday and got very messy, Saturday night in a hotel and went to see a comedian I love (hotel was a last min treat from DH) and then Sunday had a party at my mums with all my family. Nothing too wild (we went on honeymoon to NYC a couple of weeks later) but lots of fun and surrounded by people I love.

Went to Disneyland Paris for a week with the kids. I’m not one for parties or attention so spending it somewhere we all enjoyed was the best idea. Plus I got a special badge 😂

I had a surprise holiday to the Dominican Republic. Lovely, but with a 2yr old and 7 nights I wouldn’t have booked it but I did have a good time. For my 40th I went to NYC with my childhood friend, loved that

DH surprised me with a trip to Paris, then I got my mates together in a bar on the Friday night.

I threw a massive moulin rouge themed party in a nightclub and it was one of the best evenings of my life. Everyone I loved was there and everyone dressed up to the nines in costume. Some of my friends did mini immersive performances in character and i hired a tarot reader and a magician. My parents came from abroad. It was my perfect night. V lucky. If it was now however, I would try to go to a v nice hotel in a U.K. city as that is allowed and would feel special.
