Universal credit.. Understanding payment

Can anyone help me understand how my universal credit will be awarded this month?
I finished with my previous employer in May and started with my new employer a few days later in May also.
My assessment period runs from the 26th to 25th of each month. So for example it'll be the 26th May to 25th June.
I got paid 3 weeks notice pay with my previous employer on the 25th May then my new employer paid me 3 weeks pay on the 26th May. I've been sensible and tried to save as much of that as possible..
How will my universal credit be calculated this month as my pay on the 26th should technically go into the following month. I messaged them on my journal and they said if 2 pay dates occur in the same month they'll put the later pay day into the next month and based their assessment on that.. Worried as I receive the housing element and childcare element and my pay won't pay for all of that.
Thanks.

Sorry just to be clear you got paid on the 25 th May which was last assessment period and then got paid again in this assessment period by the new employer? So 7 weeks pay will be on this assessment period?

Also did you said you got paid 3 weeks notice by old employer, was that 3 weeks on top of your normal monthly pay or instead of?

They will use what you got on 26th May to work out what you will get this month and for every £1 you earn over a certain amount (think it’s different for everyone not too sure) you will lose 63p from your money. They have a very weird way of working it all out and they don’t explain it very well. You may be lucky because your first payment was before your assessment period starts for this month they may not include that one but they will use 26th May payment. I hope that helps and makes sense. You can always PM if you need any help.

The cut off is the cut off
If you get paid once on 25th May and that is your cut off date, then any subsequent payments after 25th fall into the new assessment period

It would only be twice in a month if it fell between those dates and you got paid twice on or before 25th of the month

The issue I end up with is usually christmas, where I am paid early in December before my cut off date so it looks like I’ve been paid twice. My assessment date is 23rd to 22nd of the month. I will get paid 28th November then again 20th Dec so paid twice. Then in January i get paid on 28th and looks like I earned nothing in that assessment period so I just have to plan and wait
