To be feeling anxious over a job interview

I don't know why as job interviews are positive and good. I have got an interview for a waitress role at Ask Italian tomorrow at 3pm. When I phoned them back as I had missed their call, I was asked if I wanted to "meet for a coffee" which I'm assuming is an informal interview. Do I go smart casual? I've never done waitressing before but have done a similar role.

Just relax and be yourself. Totally normal to feel anxious, but having a coffee and doing an informal chat will take the edge off.
Dress nicely, but casually. Trousers (not jeans) and a nice jumper/top.
Good luck :)

The best waiting staff are those who interact in a friendly positive way with the people they are serving. An informal chat seems a good way for you to demonstrate that. Hope the job goes well for you.

Good luck OP.

I think most people feel anxious before an interview, OP. Just remember that the physical feelings of being nervous are almost identical to the feelings that you get when you're excited. So tell yourself that you're excited instead!Smile

Good luck!
