To think that if you choose to travel, you can’t complain about having to isolate?

I follow an athlete on social media who has decided to move to the UK with her DH and three toddlers. They have been in hotel quarantine since their arrival several days ago. Her Instagram stories are constant complaints about how awful it is and how it is ‘violating the rights of her children’.

I have no doubt that it’s absolutely terrible being cooped up like that. But they knew this was the rule when deciding to travel and as far as I can tell it wasn’t absolutely essential for the entire family to move halfway across the world during a pandemic. Sure, complain away about how shit it is, but stop making out like you’ve been falsely imprisoned or something 🙄🙄🙄

When I haven’t been able to see my family for a vv long time. And my parents havent seen their grandchildren for 18 months and the number of Covid Tests it take to get from one country to another and my parents have had both vaccinations yes I think you are being unreasonable.
I live in a different European country with my husband and children to my uk based family. It’s a realistic prospect that the next time I could see them would be at their funeral- because of they get sick I will still have to quarantine before I see them. And working that time they could die, no?

Lot of people have moaned about the new facts of life. Why can't she. I seen people complaining about masks, but they still wear them and enjoy the protection it gives them. But still dislike this or that aspect of mask wearing.

People just love to moan

It is the cost of travelling in a pandemic.

Agree - if you choose to travel, factor in the time and cost to isolate.
All our lives and families are just as important.

If you think of the families who have lost loved ones due to Covid there would be less complaining.
